Justice Kumahia grew up in Accra but both of
his parents originated from Anyako and Havi
in the Volta Region of Ghana. Before moving
to Boston Massachusetts, he had a great
opportunity to work for the leading vehicle
rental and Tour Company in Ghana - Avis Rent
a Car and Land Tours Ghana Limited.
Justice currently works as a Success Coach
and Academic Counselor at Bunker Hill
Community College. In this role, he guides
students into appropriate academic programs,
ensuring that they are registered at the
appropriate academic levels of course work
and assists them in developing academic and
career plans for their future success.
Justice’s role as a Success Coach is based
on best practices that address student
college transition issues and contemporary
challenges that affect the progress of urban
residents. Justice also teaches in the
Business Department as an adjunct faculty.
As Vice President of the Bunker Hill
Community College Professional Association,
Justice serves at the request of the
President of the college’s union, discussing
faculty/staff issues and grievances on a
daily basis, meeting with chapter members to
discuss contractual issues and concerns, and
assisting in record-keeping to track
complaints and grievances.
Educational Background
Justice holds a Master’s Degree in Dispute
Resolution with a focus in Organizational
Behavior and Mediation from University of
Massachusetts, Boston. He completed his
undergraduate studies at Babson College, his
Associates Degree at Bunker Hill Community,
and high school education at Acara Academy
in Ghana.
Service
There is nothing more inspiring to me than
to serve and I am proud to serve as the
Secretary of the Ewe Association of Greater
Boston.
